Chef Gason Nelson

Chef Gason Nelson, a two-time James Beard Scholar, is a nationally recognized private chef, author, culinary entrepreneur, and finalist on Food Network’s Chopped. Known for bold New Orleans flavor and genuine Southern hospitality, Chef Gason creates dining experiences that feel elevated, soulful, and unforgettable.
Chef Gason is a long-time board member with Breaking The Chains Foundation.

Chef Walter Slawski

Chef Walter Slawski, proprietor and executive chef of The Catering Outfit, leads one of Charlottesville’s most celebrated catering teams, recognized with multiple WeddingWire Couples’ Choice Awards. A UVA graduate and longtime local culinary leader, Walter creates immersive, food-driven events rooted in seasonality, hospitality, and local flavor.
Chef Walter was an early supporter of the BTCF program Big C New Me in 2013.

Chef Tucker Yoder

 Chef Tucker Yoder, executive chef of The Wool Factory and Broadcloth, is an acclaimed Charlottesville chef known for refined, seasonal Virginia cuisine and deep relationships with local farmers and purveyors. A former Clifton Inn executive chef and Charlottesville Rising Star chef, he brings creativity, precision, and a true sense of place to every menu. 

Chef Mike Ledesma

Chef Mike Ledesma is a Richmond-based private chef and culinary entrepreneur whose cooking blends Filipino-American heritage, Hawaiian training, and global inspiration. As Virginia’s official chef for Sub-Zero, Wolf, and Cove, Chef Mike brings elevated technique, creativity, and soulful flavor to every unforgettable dining experience. 

Sober Pierre

Sober Pierre, founding member and president of Pearl Island Catering, shares the vibrant flavors and stories of the Caribbean with Charlottesville and beyond.
A longtime supporter of THE NIGHT OUT, Sober brings Haitian-inspired flavor, community spirit, and heartfelt hospitality to the table.
