HOW TO LOVE YOURSELFIE
In a world where young people and adults are constantly exposed to filtered images, comparison, perfectionism, and unrealistic standards, How To Love Yourselfie creates space for honest conversation, reflection, and growth. Through engaging videos, guided workbook activities, and meaningful discussion, the program helps participants explore who they are beyond appearances, online pressure, and the need to measure up.
Available as both an online program and facilitated experience, How To Love Yourselfie can be licensed by schools, nonprofits, wellness organizations, community programs, and partners who want to bring powerful prevention-based education into the spaces they serve.

ABOUT SOCIAL MEDIA
Social Media reduces isolation and fosters connections among people. It’s a big part of the lives of many young individuals. Since it provides valuable experiences, we aim to equip them with tools to navigate potential dangers.
- Can link to negative mental health in young people (Shannon et al., 2022)
- Can increase body dissatisfaction, a risk factor for eating disorders (Jiotsa et al., 2021)
- 40% of teens reported content on social media caused them to worry about their body image (Krzymowski, Ballard Brief, 2025)
- Contributing factors to body image-related issues and social media: accessibility to social media, unrealistic content, feedback loops, comparative culture, comparison with influencers and celebrities, bullying, and cyberbullying.
- Consequences: physical health (exercise and risky health behaviors), mental health detriments (depression, anxiety, and eating disorders) (Krzymowski, Ballard Brief, 2025)
- Per The Wall Street Journal, Meta admitted to knowing their platform was “addictive”, spread “misinformation”, and worsened body image for one in three teen girls.
- Per 60 Minutes, around 1,200 families are suing platforms, claiming addiction and mental health harm to their children/young people.
Social media LITERACY
- Provides awareness and critical thinking skills so young people can challenge what they see online
- Tends to create more peace of mind for those who support them.
